A few local residents have got together to form a group called “Friends of St Germains”, their initial aim is to clean up St Germains Churchyard at Marske-by-the-Sea. It is the final resting place of many of Marske’s important people including the Zetland Family and Jack Anderson, founder of Winkies Castle Folk Museum.
These pictures show what also can be done with the smaller graves around the walls where the ashes of the more recently deceased are buried.
